Adam Mwansa is one of Zambia’s Visual Artists and member of VAC. He is a painter who also uses a pen to produce delicate and detailed drawings. Adam paints in a variety of media. He has been exploring these media for a number of years; and this has resulted into good mastery and skilful manipulation of the art supplies. Mwansa has participated in numerous Art expos both locally and abroad. Currently he is working as an Art lecturer in the School of Education at Evelyn Hone College in Lusaka.
Adam derives a lot of pleasure working with subject matters ranging from representational to non-objective forms. Most of his works come out very strong, with colour, high contrast of values and cast shadows. The strength of these images together with the portrayal of visual movement in most of the images make the viewer to instantly feel the outburst of the warmth, loudness and energy which the artist wants everyone to experience from his work.
